Ben Rood tied for 1st place (in the K-1 section) at the 2011 National Elementary (K-6) Championship which took place May 6 through May 8th at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. This is another great milestone for Ben, who learns from FIDE Master Robin Cunningham at Berkeley Chess School's weekly Friday night program and also participates in Berkeley Chess School's exclusive Orinda Advanced Tuesday chess class.
