Job Opportunities with BCS
We are frequently hiring for our programs in schools throughout the Bay Area. The majority of our classes are located in the East Bay (including Walnut Creek and the 680 corridor), Marin, San Francisco, and the Peninsula.
Prior teaching experience is helpful, but not required. We provide the training, lesson plans and support to help you succeed in the classroom. Our aim is to create a rewarding experience for you and the students.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of chess fundamentals
Experience working with children
Fun, engaging approach to conveying chess knowledge
Reliable personal transportation
Ability to pass a background check
Locations and Hours:
We have immediate openings for after-school teachers in Burlingame, Millbrae and Contra Costa County. Weekdays (one hour per day in the afternoon, usually between 1pm and 4pm). Typical assignment length is 8-12 weeks, and you are expected to commit to the full term of the contract.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate, DOE; varies by assignment.
