Chess 4 Boomers & Beyond!


Boost your brain power in 2008! The Berkeley Chess School is offering Chess classes for Boomers and Beyond. The ancient game's many benefits include improving concentration and memory, problem solving and strategic thinking. Class time will be divided between instruction and play. Class size is between ten and twenty students.

The Berkeley Chess School is organizing ongoing chess classes in six-week segments starting November 3, 2008. These are adult-only classes for beginners and intermediate players. The classes will be a fun mix of lessons and play.

The Berkeley Chess School is the recipient of many local and state awards, most recently from the Berkeley Community Fund. It was founded in 1982 by Berkeley City Club member Elizabeth Shaughnessy.
