There is still space in August!
Are you looking for a summer chess camp that offers CHALLENGE, EXCITEMENT, A CHANCE TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS and just plain old FUN? Come to the Berkeley Chess School summer chess camps!

The program includes chess instruction at different levels. Emphasis is on the joy of the game but with a serious eye to the student's progress.

We offer chess camps in Berkeley, Alameda, Concord, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Piedmont, Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton and San Ramon! Check our schedule page for the latest updates and contact information for all camps.

Full Day Option!!

There is still room in our August camps, the week of August 4 and August 11! BCS offers a full-day option for camp, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for six one-week sessions at the Berkeley location. BCS will offer sports and art activities each morning before the chess camp. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM students will have their choice of indoor and outdoor activities. From 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, they will attend chess camp. Children may be dropped off as early as 8:00 AM and should bring their own lunch and snacks. Aftercare will continue until 5:45 PM. The Berkeley Chess School is a non-profit corporation that gives chess instruction to over 5,000 children in over 140 schools in Northern California. It was founded 25 years ago by former Irish Women's Chess Champion, Elizabeth Shaughnessy.
