Friday Night Chess
The Berkeley Chess School offers Friday Night Chess classes for K-12 students at our Hillside School location in Berkeley and in Walnut Creek.
Sign up by midnight the Wednesday before the first class to qualify for Early Bird reduced tuition!
The classes are 90 minutes long, from 5:30-7:00 pm. Class is followed by an optional tournament game, from 7:00-8:00 pm, which gives the students a fun opportunity to get tournament experience.

We offer multiple levels of instruction ranging from beginner through advanced/master. To qualify for the advanced class, students should be rated 1000 or above or be recommended by their school chess instructor.

We offer multiple levels of instruction from Beginner to Advanced. The class is followed by a USCF-rated scholastic tournament.
