BCS Berkeley Team Tournament 2005:
April 2005

New year, new champ! Who would it be this year? 30 schools sent teams, but entering the final round it was basically down to two schools. The Bentley team and the Havens team each had 14 points after five rounds. When the dust settled from the sixth round, the top four Havens students had all won, giving them the championship by one point.

Will Bentley win it all next year? Or will it be newcomer Jensen Ranch, which came in third place only a point behind Bentley? Perhaps it will be a team lower down. After all, Havens and Bentley tied for fifth last year. You'll have to come next year and find out!

We want to give special congratulations to two students, Edward Wong of Rooftop School and Andrew Lo of Kaiser. Edward had the only perfect score out of 98 participants. Considering he beat the second, third, and fourth best players in the final round, he did it the hard way! Edward's six points powered Rooftop to a ninth place finish. Andrew finished 13th with four points and won our best game award to boot.
