DESCRIPTION:  \nSign up Here!\nJoin Grandmaster Irina Krush for a simul exhibition in Berkeley this August!  The Berkeley Chess School is honored to present this rare\, West Coast opportunity for our students and chess aficionados alike to challenge the seven-time\, U.S. Women’s Chess Champion.  Irina has won prestigious international tournaments and was part of the U.S. Women’s Team that took home silver at the 36th Chess Olympiad in 2004.  As first board in the 38th Chess Olympiad\, she led U.S. Women to bronze with a crucial win over the reigning Women’s World Champion.  One of her most outstanding achievements was her gold medal performance in the 2013 Women’s World Team Championship. \n  \nIrina graduated from NYU with a degree in international relations.  Besides being an elite chess player\, she is an author and frequent contributor to Chess Life Magazine\, and has dedicated her talents to nurturing the next generation of players\, especially girls\, through chess classes\, camps\, and simultaneous exhibitions. GM Krush is coming to Berkeley for the simultaneous exhibition and to participate in the Berkeley Chess School’s International Master Norm Tournament. \nEveryone is welcome to participate in or watch the simul. You don’t need to be a titled player to challenge Irina\, just timely!  Spots are filling up fast.
