DESCRIPTION:If you are beginning to play chess\, or are dusting off your game after a hiatus of years (or decades!)\, join our Thursday evening adult chess class. Learn tactics and strategies to improve your game\, and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow adults! Find out more here:\nFall 1 Adult Chess Class\nAugust 14 – October 9\nEXPRESS REGISTRATION\nFall 2 Adult Chess Class\nOctober 16 – December 18\nEXPRESS REGISTRATION\nor play in our Friday night adult chess tournaments .\nEXPRESS REGISTRATION\n  \nThese memorial chess tournaments\, named for the chess greats\, happen throughout the year.  Most tournaments are 6 rounds\, with a round every Friday night @ 7 pm @ the Berkeley Chess Center.  Games are G/90 with a 30 second increment.  The entry fee is $70\, but titled players enter free!  There is a $500 prize fund for every tournament!\n\nBCS also hosts periodic special events\, including simuls and seminars from some of our illustrious GM alumni!  Check our website or join our mailing list https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/0ZRSoVY/spring to stay current on all our adult programming!  We hope to welcome you soon!\n\nWGM Carla Heredia Serrano makes a move at the Novato Checkmates’ simul exhibition in Novato.
