On the weekend of September 26th-27th The Bay Area hosted the G/60 National Championships.
G/60 means all games are played in sixty minutes or less, per person.
Many of our Berkeley students made the trip down to San Jose in order for the chance to compete for a national title.
In the Under 1000 Section
Erkhes Erdenebileg (Matthew) Took 4th Place.

In the Under 600 section
Enkhjin Erdenebileg (Suzie) took 1st place and the title as Under 600 G/60 National Champ.

Jonathan Baterdene took 2nd Place.
Tergelsar Enkh (Jackie) took 3rd place.

Also, in the adult Open Section
National Master Josiah Stearman had an incredible performance rating of 2437,
scoring 3/4 and winning the under 2200 prize. Josiah has been playing amazing chess lately and the sky is the limit for this young superstar. The Berkeley Chess School would like to thank all those that participated.
